A „workflow“ is a process (activity or procedure), which is built on individual activities, applied to several parts of a business process or other organizational activities. This process describes the operational level in detail; ideally as proper as possible, that the following activity is determined of the previous activity effect. So the individual activities are interdependent. A workflow has a defined start, an organized procedure and also a defined ending. It's part of a business process, which is computer-assisted. In the IT-sector the workflow is also a technics for monitoring the business processes. For example the processing state of an order, until to the responsible official can be retraced. |
